About the Author
Kate Wood is the self-taught baker, writer, and photographer behind the Wood and Spoon blog. A dietitian by trade, Kate began Wood and Spoon in 2016 as a hobby but has since begun practicing her “everything in moderation” motto on full-time basis, creating approachable and inspired recipes for home cooks. In just a few short years, Kate and her Saveur Award-winning site have been featured by numerous online and print publications including Southern Living, Taste of Home, Bake from Scratch, Food & Wine, Taste of the South, Buzzfeed, Martha Stewart, and more.
On the home front, Kate lives with her husband in LA (that’s Lower Alabama, y’all!) where they are raising their three young children. Her first book, Her Daily Bread (HarperOne, 2021), connects food and faith in a 365-day devotional featuring daily reflections and nostalgic recipes to feast on all year long.
